If only I could have stayed in bed....

My crap-tacular weekend in a nut shell:

Friday: I had to go to a funeral for my great aunt in Foam Lake. Not cool. The oldest of 5 siblings and the last to die. She was 91. Drive to town for supper for Mom’s birthday. Mmm….steak. It was very yummy.

Saturday: Driving to work with peelio and all of a sudden my steering went all crazy, and then my battery power went low and my temperature went sky high, and there was steam pouring out of the hood. So I stopped and phoned dad and he said they he would come get me I phone work and said that I would be late, cause the truck quit.

You would think that is bad enough right? WRONG it gets worse.

Popped the hood, and found that the fan belt is gone. So I think, ok this isn't to bad the fan belt went. Then I start looking around and there is antifreeze everywhere and some kind if red fluid(what later turns out to be trany fluid). Two guys that work with dad saw me so they stopped and helped me push the truck off the road onto a side road. As I look around I can see there is some kind of fuzz is some spots. So I pick it up and ask the one guy what it is. He said' it looks some insulation, a mouse or something probably moved it there' I'm like 'No it feels like cat hair.' Not cool. Get a sick feeling in my stomach.
One of the kitties that was outside, the fuzzy one was under my hood. I didn't go outside to start the truck in the morning and used the command start. She was under the hood for ten minutes at home, and just outside of willowbrook decided she wasn’t going to town and jumped.
Yeah so when dad got there I asked him if the fuzzy one outside by the door when he left. And he said no. I was in tears when I said that she went through my fan belt. He then tells me that he never put two and two together when he saw a little orange cat laying on the road a little ways up I was very upset. My dad said that I would have felt worse if it was Tarzan, but I still feel bad.

Sunday: Go to Kassandra’s Christening. Remember why I don’t go to that church. I found it amusing as Ashley wandered around the church, with blue M&M’s in her hand. Amused by the fact more people are paying attention to her and not the pastor.

That truly is one crap-tacular weekend. I hope the one coming up is a lot better for you sweetie.

Little kids with blue M&Ms are pretty fascinating. ;o)
