Here comes the bride......

I am a happy camper. I finished the speech for Rose's wedding one less thing I have to worry about. I had a little help from a website...however I can't remember the name of it. Just two more days. The wedding cake is coming along nicely. My mom is doing an excellent job. I hope Rose will be happy with it, I know I would be.

Here is my speech for those of you who won't be attending. leave a comment to let me know what you think.
*****
For those of you who don’t already know me my name is Tanya and I have been friends with Rose since kindergarten. Rose has been a great friend in so many ways. We've had a lot of fun together, and she's always been there for me when things were tough. When Rose asked me to be her Maid of Honor I was filled with pride and wondered what I had done to deserve such an honor. However as the day approached I was informed that I would need to make a speech. Just so you know I hate giving speeches, and I will be getting even with Rose. One day…

I have been thinking long and hard as to what to say today. I have been told it is tradition to offer the married couple some words of wisdom on married life! So I asked around and was told the following things:
Some said marriage begins when you sink into his arms and ends up with arms in his sink. Others would say that before marriage a man will lay awake thinking about something you said, after marriage he’ll fall asleep before you have finished saying it. Now I’m sure some of you here can relate to that! Now just because I'm not married and never have been; doesn't mean I'm not an expert on the subject. So here are one single girls words of wisdom for the newly married couple, Marty I hope your listening carefully.
* One word: FLUSH
* Remember the phrases: You're right dear, Okay buy it.
* If you're clever you'll always have the last word, BUT if you're really clever you won't use it!
* When you're wrong admit it, when you're right shut up!
* Share everything including the bedcovers.
* The best way to remember an anniversary is to forget it once.
* Set the ground rules first then do everything Rose tells you.
* Do not let Rose ride BMX bikes…She might forget who you are.
* Lastly one for the bedroom: laugh and the world laughs with you, snore and you sleep alone on the couch.

Just remember a marriage is made in heaven, but the maintenance work is to be carried out on earth!

Finally, may you both continue to grow in love, not forgetting the importance of understanding, forgiveness and tolerance. But most importantly, may you never forget the love that brought you together today – a love so strong that you decided to share it forever in each other’s company.
May your love be like the wind, strong enough to move the clouds, soft enough to never hurt but be always and never ending!

Congratulations to you both.

Great speech Tanya. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it. Have a great time at the wedding and try not to let your cheeks fall off from all the smiling.
